Already under construction, Maiora has added a new semi-custom series that her designers say sets “a benchmark for the brand’s future.” The Maiora M|36 yacht is true to Maiora’s past while introducing new looks and new ways of maximizing space.
Maiora and a fellow Italian company, the design studio Quartostile, joined forces for the project. The two are familiar with each other, having created the Maiora 36 Exuma (an evolution of the Maiora 35 Exuma). Rather than simply create a similar-size superyacht, Quartostile wanted “to write a new chapter,” it says in a statement. The aesthetics and amenities needed to adapt to further LOAs, “setting a benchmark for the brand’s future.” More so, though, “every detail is meant to express our belief that design is a language capable of evoking emotions.”

Firstly, the Maiora M|36 yacht is a trideck, with an overall length of 122 feet (37 meters). Besides the long flying bridge, deck areas offer extra alfresco space, purposely to encourage living outside. For instance, the foredeck is entirely for the owners and guests. A sizable lounge takes center stage, easily adapting to multiple purposes throughout the day. A late-morning cruise to a new anchorage sees it as an observation settee. Once the Maiora M|36 yacht is anchored for the afternoon, it becomes a sundeck. Throughout the afternoon and towards sunset, it’s a cocktail and lite bites lounge. Further throughout the afternoon, the adjacent glass-fronted pool (with a seamless cover for walking upon) beckons.
An expandable aft-deck lounge, thanks to folding bulwarks, with yet another glass-walled pool await, too. As much as megayacht designers and builders talk about the indoor-outdoor lifestyle, the general arrangement here is more successful in conveying the feeling. It’s because Acube Design and the shipyard’s Centro Stile quite literally carry the outdoors straight inside. Specifically, the teak decking continues into the saloon, “reinforcing the concept of a boundless space,” Acube Design notes.

Preserving the sense of being better connected to the outdoors, natural materials and organic shapes flow throughout the interior. Think soft curves, but of course clients can tailor the décor as they see fit. This extends to the five staterooms, which can accommodate 10 to 12 people, plus the upper-deck dining area, bar, and more.
With three crew cabins for five people, , the Maiora M|36 yacht offers two power packages, both with performance punch. Choose tin MANs for a top speed around 24 knots. If that’s not enough, however, twin MTUs should push the yacht to 30 knots.

Launch should occur for hull number one next year in the summertime.
