If you’re an avid megayacht watcher, no doubt the yacht Amnesia is familiar. Three Benettis have launched under that name within the past several years, in fact. The latest one by the Italian yard hit the water on February 9 in Livorno, Italy.
The 60-meter (about 197-foot) yacht features styling and engineering by Benetti’s in-house team and interior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon, a first for both the yard and this owner. His previous Amnesia, a 50-meter (164-footer), featured styling and interior design by Stefano Natucci. In contrast to that project, the new yacht is more streamlined outside and more contemporary inside, with anigre and walnut paneling plus black marble borders on flooring.

Further notable about the preceding Amnesia, she was one of the hardest-working and most active megayachts on the charter circuit. So, it’s probably safe to assume the new yacht Amnesia will follow suit when delivery occurs come springtime. It’s also safe to assume that the next Amnesia will actively charter.
Yes, you read “next” correctly. The upcoming Amnesia, a.k.a. FB 252 (which stands for Fratelli Benetti hull no. 252), is already under construction. She will launch from the same facility as the owner’s current project did this month.
