Meet Param Jamuna IV, the second megayacht to be launched by Rossinavi this year.
As the megayacht’s name reveals, Param Jamuna IV is the fourth yacht to be christened this way by her owner. His previous megayacht was a 31-meter (102-footer) from Pisa, built in 2006. As for the new Param Jamuna IV, she’s 158’5” (48.305 meters), the first all-aluminum launch in a new series created by Rossinavi. The yacht was known alternately as Prince Shark as well as FR027, her hull number, during construction.
Prince Shark is also the name of the series. Naval architecture is by Arrabito Naval Architects, with styling and interior design by Team 4 Design.
Param Jamuna IV is a trideck design with accommodations for 12 in the owner’s party. The beam of 28’8” (8.8 meters) should translate to comfortable spaces and a nice framework for an overall lush interior decor. While specifics aren’t yet available, the decor reflects Italian style mixed with elements echoing the owner’s heritage. In terms of performance, MTU power should allow a top speed of 23 knots. Even with the emphasis on speed, Rossi Navi expects a good range, approximately 3,500 nautical miles with the engines dialed back down to 10 to 11 knots.
Param Jamuna IV should be delivered by late May and will make her boat-show debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
In the meantime, a sistership is under construction at Rossinavi. In fact, the shipyard just moved her hull into the finishing shed in late November. Here’s a time-lapse look at how the delicate operation was handled:
