The newest Riva model should make maxi-yacht lovers happy. She’s the Riva 76, emphasizing interior-exterior relaxation and speeds to make quick work of island hopping. Ferretti Group clients will get the first look at her at an invitation-only event this fall. She’ll then debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
Measuring 75’4” (22.98 meters) with a beam of 18’9” (5.75 meters), the Riva 76 has an abundance of big ports above and below decks. The windshield sticks with this trend, too. It makes the open-plan main deck feel more voluminous. In fact, Riva says it measures nearly 20 feet (6 meters) long. Similar to other Rivas, the Riva 76 also has a flip-up glass partition between the aft deck and interior. This, with the door kept open, helps make the full main deck feel like one continuous relaxation area.
Further emphasizing that feel: keeping the helm part of the open arrangement. Twin pedestal chairs are positioned to starboard. Your captain can also drive from the sundeck helm. Either way, the Riva 76 is expected to cruise at 29 knots, with 1,550-mhp MAN V12s. Top end should be 33 knots.
When you get to your destination, The Riva 76 becomes a playground. Most of the transom folds down and can submerge. Swimmers will particularly appreciate how this helps them in getting in and out of the water. It also makes launching and retrieving the Riva 76’s tender easier. You can stow a boat up to 10’7” (3.25 meters).
You and four guests are all accommodated below decks. The master is amidships, further down two steps. The VIP is fully forward, while a twin-bedded stateroom is to starboard. (Note that the galley is also to starboard, just off the stairway from the main deck, with a sliding door.) The head for the twin cabin doubles as a day head. The Riva 76 has extra sound insulation forward and aft of the master, too.
Crew have a bunk cabin accessed via the aft deck. They can move about the foredeck and other areas quickly without ankle-bashing, due to mooring equipment being concealed beneath hatches. Riva does admit, though, that the hatches were chosen primarily for aesthetics.
A few options are available for the Riva 76. You can request an extra docking-control station to port on the aft deck. The settee fully aft back here can instead be a sunpad, with the addition of a structural extension. An extra watertoy, like a PWC, can stow on the swim platform. The above-mentioned sundeck helm station can stow away when not in use. Want faster speeds? Twin 1,800-mhp MAN V12s should permit a top end of 37 knots and cruise of 32. Of course, interior decor items are also open to your choice. The first Riva 76 will showcase teak, polished stainless steel, marble, leather furnishings, and more. You’ll also find LEDs and TVs flush-mounted on walls of mirrors in the staterooms.
