Hull number one of the Extra X99 Fast series has shifting into the outfitting stage. The largest model in the Extra Yachts lineup is set for a summertime delivery, followed by a global premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
With extra room and 34 knots of speed, the X99 Fast is in build at Palumbo Superyachts’ shipyard in Ancona, Italy. In keeping with Extra Yachts’ philosophy, the usable space aboard is similar to that of a yacht upwards of 100 feet (30.5 meters) LOA. Much of it comes via an extra-long, open aft deck. In fact, the area encompasses upwards of 807 square feet (75 square meters), with deploying balconies, too. The Extra X99 Fast makes it easy for owners and guests to spend all day out here, and for the crew to keep everyone refreshed. This is because the galley inside sits adjacent to the aft deck. Furthermore, a sliding up-and-down window ensures the chef and stews can serve meals simply.
With styling by Guida Design and interiors by Luca Dini Design, the X99 Fast prioritizes open relaxation in more ways, too. A hi-low table on the flying bridge can turn a seating area into an ideal lunch spot, for instance. If the weather isn’t conducive to staying outside, the main deck inside is totally devoted to socializing. Therefore, all four staterooms, including the master suite, sit below decks. (A VIP and two twin cabins are for guests.) The staterooms can accommodate 10 people as well.
As stated above, the Extra X99 Fast should see a swift top speed of 34 knots. The shipyard further anticipates a cruising speed of 28 knots from the twin 2,600-hp MTUs. Studio Arnaboldi is responsible for the carbon composite hull’s planning design, as well as all naval architecture.
