Expected for completion right in time for her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, Serenity is the first Mondomarine SF40 megayacht project. In fact, she’s the first of the SF series overall.
The all-aluminum SF line gets its name from SF Yachts, Mondomarine’s Middle East dealer. The two companies believed the market was ready for projects whose streamlined looks were paired with unexpectedly voluminous spaces inside and out.
Serenity, at 138’8” (42.3 meters), has a beam of 28’9” (8.8 meters). The gallery here gives you a good sense of her relaxation areas. The best example of how she makes the most of her volume: the master suite. Serenity has a two-level owners’ stateroom, with the sleeping space perched above a dressing area and inviting bath. It’s made all the more inviting due to skylight-like ports. Rarely do you see this type of arrangement aboard a megayacht in this size range.
Serenity is additionally distinct in having her crew mess on the main deck, opposite the galley. Increasingly megayachts built for Middle Eastern and some European clients position the galley below decks, and essentially every megayacht regardless of owner puts the crew mess down here, too.
Sea trials should confirm a 15-knot cruise speed for Serenity under MTU power. Best range should come at 12 knots: 4,000 nautical miles.
