Following the merger of the yacht brokerage, charter, and management house International Yacht Collection with a Europe-based brokerage firm earlier this year, the newly formed company will now be known as IYC. The news follows reports earlier this year that had the European company, Cape4 Yachting, being the brand.
The name IYC should still be familiar to owners and their representatives. It was the widely used nickname for International Yacht Collection.
IYC is maintaining offices in the locations where the formerly two independent companies operated. They are Fort Lauderdale, Newport, Nantucket, St. Barths, St. Maarten, Monaco, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Malta, and Turkey.
IYC will also continue to offer the same services as before. Besides the ones mentioned above, these include yacht consulting and crew placement.
“We are proud of our new brand DNA and feel it reflects the modern, progressive and dynamic nature of our team,” says Stefanos Macrymichalos, CEO and partner of IYC. “We promise to deliver an unrivalled customer focus that integrates integrity into everything we do.” Michel Chryssicopolous, another principal partner of IYC, adds, “Our team of client-facing professionals will show the market how the next generation of yacht brokers and managers can add real value to become trusted advisors, similar to an owner’s family office or private banker.”
In related news, IYC has sold the Mondomarine M54 (above) that was started on spec.
