If it’s speed you want, speed you’ll get with the AB 145. Meet Fast & Furious, hull number one in the series by AB Yachts. Delivered last year, Fast & Furious made her YouTube debut this morning, and we have the video below.
Just how fast can Fast & Furious go? Triple MTUs coupled to waterjets promise a top end of 42 knots and a cruise speed of 37 knots. At that rate, the AB 145 can take you to the Bahamas from South Florida for lunch and get you back home in plenty of time for dinner. (Note that the yacht is offered for sale.)
The AB 145 series is the largest one so far from AB Yachts, a division of Fipa Group. LOA is 145’10” (44.5 meters). Fast & Furious shows off some of the sleek lines that the series shares with her smaller sisterships. She also has a flying bridge, ideal for taking in the views while underway.
The oval ports rimming her sides bring light into the inside. An owner’s party of 10 are accommodated in three VIPs, a twin cabin, and of course a main-deck master suite (the latter above). The owners of Fast & Furious additionally have a fold-down balcony and private access to the alfresco area forward.
Each AB 145 is open to owner input in terms of decor. The owners of Fast & Furious chose a subdued, comfortably casual atmosphere, with contrasting wood tones. The same wood soles and paneling are featured in the crew’s quarters forward below deck.
