The newest member of the Mangusta 94 series is cruising European waters, having been delivered last week. This marks the fourth hand-over in the series since 2013.
Overmarine Group, the builder of the Mangusta brand, has tweaked the design since that time. Buyers of its bigger boats have expanded foredeck seating/dining areas, for example. So, it’s done the same throughout its range, including on this Mangusta 94. Larger ports also characterize her: They’re single panes as well. The megayacht additionally has a somewhat bigger swim platform. While not dramatic changes, they are all meant to enhance life aboard the 94.
Further enhancing the experience: the newest generation of a zero-speed gyroscopic stabilizer. Overmarine Group has also added its version of a dynamic positioning system, using thrusters and her GPS for station-keeping. Of course, the Mangusta 94 still promises swift speeds. After all, that’s what maxi yachts like her are meant for, and what buyers like—even when the captain scales back the 2,600-hp MTUs to a 10-knot most-efficient cruise. Overmarine Group says the Mangusta 94 can top out at 38 knots.
The owners of this Mangusta 94 requested an internal configuration other American buyers will appreciate. These include a galley/bar on the main deck. (European buyers have placed the galley below decks, in a dedicated room in the crew area.) They also wanted access to the flying bridge from the saloon. Usually, the Mangusta 94’s flying bridge is reached via the aft deck. Speaking of the flying bridge, it includes a second helm. You can have the deck devoted solely to sunning and relaxing if you so wish.
While we don’t have photos of this yacht’s interior, you can see how the buyers of hull number one designed theirs in our Megayacht News Onboard feature.
