The end of 2017 is just the beginning for an American couple. They’ve taken delivery of Moondance (below), a Horizon E75, in the warm waters of Florida.
Nearly in the middle of the E Series lineup, the E75 boasts bigger-boat features like a foredeck sunning, seating, and dining area. She’s a full trideck, too. In fact, the E75 offers an enclosed bridge to create a cozy skylounge, specifically for the American market. The owners of Moondance liked how this afforded them additional interior space to entertain. (Note that Horizon also has an open-bridge version of the E75 for those of you who prefer more alfresco areas.)
In terms of space, The E75 bears an 18’6” (5.64-meter) beam. While buyers can rearrange spaces, usually a pretty traditional layout characterizes the main deck. The owners of Moondance went that route, too. For example, a country kitchen lets family and friends dine while the chef keeps the delicious dishes coming. The above-mentioned skylounge includes the helm. Below decks, meanwhile, three staterooms await, including a full-beam master. The bow VIP and starboard-side twin cabin share a head. That twin cabin, however, can become a double instead by pushing the berths together.
The owners of Moondance chose medium-toned anigre wood paneling, accentuated by walnut, for the interior decor. This should create a warm ambiance without looking too dark. In addition, they chose pale-toned stones and neutral-toned fabrics and other goods to set the backdrop. Fitting for the nautical lifestyle, various blues appear as accents as well.
Since they plan to enjoy the outdoor nature of that lifestyle, alfresco areas were equally important to the owners. Moondance has a bar out on the upper deck, complementing a seating/dining area.
Another factor attracting the owners: shallow draft. Moondance will be heading to the Bahamas for her maiden voyage. Given the popularity of the islands, the megayacht may make return trips. Therefore, the 5’9” (1.75-meter) draft is well suited to the shallow waters.
