If you’ve never heard of International Yacht Network, it has an interesting background. It’s been a specialist in the tender market since 2006. In fact, it has experience with Zodiac, Williams Jet Tenders, and other major brands. In addition, in 2012, it partnered with Novurania of America to acquire Nautica International’s assets. Now, International Yacht Network has its own manufacturing division, Marine Dynamics. In response to customer requests for something more robust than a RIB, it’s offering the Xplorer 4.5M, made of aluminum.
Constructed in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Xplorer measures 14’8” (4.5 meters). Jarrett Bryzek, International Yacht Network’s president, says it’s meant for tougher workloads. “We have seen a change over the past few years in regards to the increasing tasks midsized tenders are being asked to undertake,” he explains. Those tasks combine carrying passengers to and from shore with supporting watersports activities as well as having stowage space. Oh, and equally important, the tenders need to “look sharp and be lightweight.” Some existing tenders could handle one or two of the tasks, but not all, he explains.
To maximize stowage and seating, the Xplorer 4.5M offers a modular interior layout. This lets customers choose the configuration best suited to their needs. Eight people can sit aboard, amid an interior beam of 5’3” (1.62 meters). You get to choose the color scheme, especially if you’d like to match your megayacht. Note, too, that Marine Dynamics employs nano coating, which offers better protection for the exterior. It also uses synthetic teak decking for its durability and lower maintenance.
While bow and stern stowage, with latches, is standard, the Xplorer 4.5M has a number of options, too. For example, if you enjoy waterskiing, it can come with a ski tow ring or post. In addition, the company will create special stowage for dive tanks, wakeboards, and/or waterskis. For a little flair, consider underwater lights, or real teak, further detailed with your yacht’s name or logo.
Marine Dynamics has already secured relationships with builders constructing adventure-oriented yachts. It’s working directly with customers, too. Pricing starts at $57,900, which includes a 70-hp Suzuki outboard.
