Antigua is the winter home to many private and charter yachts, perhaps even yours. It’s further host to a few regattas that might pique your interest or, perhaps, participation. Rather than dock at a marina, wouldn’t it be more convenient to anchor by your own private residence? Half Moon Bay Antigua, a residential and resort community currently under development, has partnered with Edmiston for cross-promotional awareness.
Half Moon Bay Antigua has 10 plots of land for sale, each available for creating your own private estate. The community sits on more than 100 acres, adjacent to the national park on the southeastern part of the island. Interestingly, a hotel sat here starting back in the 1950s, attracting Audrey Hepburn, among other celebrities. Half Moon Bay Antigua also sits on a same-named body of water, 20 minutes from popular yachty places like English Harbour. It’s further close to the sunset-watching spot Shirley Heights.
The yachting connection makes the partnership with Edmiston valuable. All 10 lots are near the well-known Nonesuch Bay anchorage. “I believe Half Moon Bay represents a very rare opportunity to quite literally acquire a ‘slice of paradise,'” says Jamie Edmiston, the company chief executive. “The venue will provide unrivaled levels of luxury, whilst the location offers arguably the finest yachting experiences in the Caribbean.”
Those experiences are varied. For example, besides escaping the cold winters, the island of Antigua hosts Antigua Sailing Week. (The 52nd edition, by the way, is this coming April.) Yet another famous race is the annual Superyacht Challenge Antigua, always held in January. Back at Half Moon Bay, you will get to enjoy pools, walking trails, gardens, a biodynamic farm, and a spa. The resort amenities are all from Rosewood, the luxury hotelier.
Lot prices range from $10 million to $25 million.
