The time-honored tradition of launching a yacht aft down a slipway occurred yet again last week, this time in Germany. On September 18, the code-named Project Enzo made an impressive entry into the water as part of her technical launch at Lürssen. Though she has a ways to go before completion, these are the first views of what is yet to come.
The massive megayacht features styling as well as interior design by Nuvolari-Lenard. Coming in at 380’6” (116 meters), Project Enzo has an equally impressive volume, 5,000 gross tons. Though illustrations aren’t available for publication, a party of 14 will have abundant relaxation areas, including seven staterooms, to enjoy.
Only a few additional facts are currently public. For instance, Project Enzo is actually the same as a previously announced, relatively confidential yacht, Testarossa. Moran Yacht & Ship revealed the latter name around this time last year, in announcing a contract with a repeat customer. That is also when the company’s yacht-management division revealed the length, and that Lürssen is the builder. Furthermore, Project Enzo has a healthy beam of 58’4” (17.8 meters).
An early profile illustration reveals a rich grey paint job with red superstructure accents, plus a red bootstripe. It additionally reveals a helipad on the bow.
Lürssen shared the technical launch video above on its Facebook page, indicating a delivery date of 2021.
