Non-profits rely on the generosity of supporters for a variety of donations. While most of us are accustomed to monetary donations, yacht donations are possible, too. In fact, AMIkids, which works with at-risk youth around the United States, has had tremendous success with this approach. Dudley Savage, who facilitates the AMIkids Yacht Donation Program, explains it in this Megayacht News Radio podcast.
Savage has been with the organization for nearly its entire 50-year history. That amounts to not just a lot of kids who have gone on to lead better lives, but also boats and yachts directly benefitting the efforts. You’ll learn, for example, how hundreds of owners and brokers have gifted thousands of yachts. These donations go back decades, too. Additionally, some of these owners, like the gentleman who has owned several sailing yachts christened Sonny, are repeat donors as well.
Of course, you’ll further learn how the non-profit uses the yachts. Plus, find out how you can contribute to the AMIkids Yacht Donation Program yourself.
