The Palm Beach International Boat Show doesn’t just mark a major event on the yachting calendar. It additionally marks the drop of five NFTs from Bannenberg & Rowell. Each is available for sale, too, starting at noon Eastern time today.
The drop is in conjunction with Cloud Yachts, the first yacht dealer in the metaverse. Last month Cloud Yachts began offering superyacht NFTs with designers like Gregory C. Marshall, David Weiss, and Marco Casali. The NFTs of their designs released during the Miami Yacht Show. Some of the designs are capable of construction, too. For example, Marshall has an NFT of a 207-footer (63-meter) with an equivalent price tag of $95 million. He and his design team will work with the buyer in the metaverse for all aspects of custom design as well, employing augmented reality.
The Bannenberg & Rowell digital artwork (one of which is above) is the second NFT drop for Cloud Yachts. Specifically, the five NFTs from Bannenberg & Rowell are 2 Ethereum each. If you acquire one during the boat show, which runs through Sunday, you’ll automatically gain entry to the event. You’ll also gain admittance to the show’s Windward VIP area, where Cloud Yachts has a stand for more discussions. Buying one of the NFTs further grants exclusive tours of superyachts during the boat show.
Cloud Yachts intends to release additional yacht-design NFTs in the future, too, especially during yacht shows and award ceremonies. Similar to the current drop, those will afford special access to parties and events.
