When you first see the new yacht Bel1, which launched this week at Rossinavi, you’ll certainly notice the large hull openings aft and forward, lending stylistic flair. You’ll surely also notice her sleek overall profile. What you won’t realize, though, is that “due to its originality and architectural complexity, (the project) has been quite challenging.” Fulvio De Simoni, responsible for her profile, shares this. He further says, “at the same time, it has allowed us to express our creativity in inventing new forms without compromising functionality and the enjoyment of life onboard.”
Federico Rossi, Rossinavi’s COO, agrees. “The goal was to combine stylistic coherence with extra dimensions.” He particularly calls attention to the sundeck, which is an impressive 1,561 square feet (145 square meters). Given the LOA of 164 feet (50 meters), those proportions are pretty massive, yet you’re unaware until you stand up here. Extending the superstructure made it possible. Therefore, the yacht Bel1 will let the owners and an abundance of guests indulge in a variety of relaxing activities. They’ll be able to sunbathe aft, soak in a small pool forward, and enjoy cocktails and mocktails at a bar beneath the hardtop.

The strong visual personality of the yacht Bel1 comes through in additional ways. De Simoni’s studio actually staggered the decks aft. Doing this devotes each alfresco space to a particular focus and function. Not only that, but adding an aft mezzanine halfway between the main and upper decks creates more unity between the two. Simultaneously, the shipyard and design studio say, it makes each feel a little more intimate.
As for the functions on each deck, there are some common bonds. The owners can dine outside on both the aft main deck as well as the aft upper deck. However, the configurations aren’t necessarily as expected. Sliding glass panels can protect the main deck’s dining area on breezy or chilly days. They lend some much-wanted privacy, too. Up top, meanwhile, a veranda-like section suits meals no matter what climate or season.

Even with her owner-directed differences, the megayacht still features customary creature comforts. The forward hull opening brings plenty of sunlight into the master suite, for instance. Fully aft, fold-down platforms open up the beach area for multiple possible purposes, like sunning or boarding watertoys.
