Since taking delivery in May 2024, the owner of the yacht Asia and his family have been enjoying the first destinations on a global itinerary. They’re virtually opening her doors to let the yachting community enjoy her colorfully cheerful, home-away-from-home ambience. “There isn’t any part of the boat where we don’t feel at home,” the owner says. “In fact, what Royal Hakvoort built is a home for us.”
At risk of sounding repetitive, “home” is the most suitable word for the yacht Asia. “From the outset, the owners’ intention was clear,” Paul Costerus, lead designer at Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, says. Specifically, the family wanted to spend as much time relaxing by themselves aboard as they did entertaining friends, all for extended periods. “The phrase ‘home away from home’ couldn’t be more fitting.” Although the megayacht’s LOA is 200 feet (61 meters), the desire was to feel larger and more voluminous. Indeed, her volume comes in at 1,268 gross tons. “There isn’t a single inch that hasn’t been completely optimized,” Costerus asserts.

One of the tricks to maximizing the sensation of space aboard the yacht Asia was situating the engines and machinery spaces amidships. That provides uninterrupted family and friends space aft. For instance, four guest staterooms directly lead to the beach club. The beach club has a lounge and juice station with views thanks to fold-down platforms. Additionally, a spa, a sauna, and a massage room are inside of it. When friends and family want to enjoy a night on the town, there’s no need to leave the yacht. It’s because the beach club transforms into a karaoke club, all the more colorful due to the underwater lights.
A stunning suite forward on the main deck could be mistaken for the master. After all, it’s full beam, with its own sitting area. It’s a healthy size, too. However, the master suite aboard Asia is a veritable apartment one deck up. It further has private alfresco areas fore and aft. Waking up in the morning and walking out forward to a cozy seating area is an easy choice. So is hosting the family and friends for lunch aft, around a 12-person dining table.
Everywhere you look aboard the yacht Asia, an abundance of natural woods, plus combinations of white, grey, and black set a serene backdrop. The family’s appreciation for color is apparent in so many of the social areas. Pops of blue practically leap from the saloon’s settees and rugs, for example. Each of the guest staterooms has its own brilliant color scheme, including turquoise, pink, and purple. Similarly striking hues scatter around the alfresco seating areas. Overhead in the master suite, meanwhile, gold leafing catches your eye, while mahogany furnishings do the same around the room. There’s even a pretty-in-pink beauty salon in the suite.
“Asia is the boat I have dreamt of since I was a young boy,” says the owner. “After our first meeting, we found in Royal Hakvoort the perfect combination of quality and chemistry. It was immediately clear this was the shipyard for us.”

Keep an eye out for the yacht Asia as she continues cruising the world with her family.
