Many of the more rugged-looking megayachts these days boast the long range complementing their looks. However, they don’t necessarily have the amenities that suit perennially popular activities. The Numarine 47MXP yacht series purposely embraces Mediterranean living while still supporting more intrepid travel.
In fact, “MXP” means “Mediterranean Explorer.” To that end, the 153-footer (46.7-meter) has multiple ample alfresco areas across her four decks. Most notably, the beach area caters to the afternoons-at-anchor preference so many Med visitors prioritize. Firstly, a pool takes a prominent position nearly at the edge of the swim platform. Folding platforms just forward of it, meanwhile, add more space for lounge chairs, letting guests feel like they’re hovering above the water. With the main alfresco dining area just a few steps up from here, Numarine has created an inviting way to indulge in the great outdoors really starting with breakfast and going non-stop all day.

Featuring a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, like her smaller sisters, the Numarine 47MXP yacht series actually shares something else with one particular sister. She has the same beam as the Numarine 45XP, which targets multi-generational cruisers. However, the extra length does make the difference for those wanting more of everything, including guest accommodations. With the new project, customers have the ability to include six staterooms, including of course a full-beam main-deck master suite. Gross tonnage reflects the differences, too, with the Numarine 47MXP bearing a volume of 498 gross tons.
Since the Turkish shipyard has a long relationship with the interior-design studio Hot Lab, the two have joined forces for this series, too. The designers will work with clients as usual to personalize areas and incorporate preferred woods, marbles, and more. To give buyers a sense of how spacious the interior looks and feels, though, Hot Lab has penned a few suggestions for a light-toned, warm décor.

With a balcony off the master suite and a second pool on the foredeck, the Numarine 47MXP yacht series has already attracted interest from some of the shipyard’s customers, it says. They further appreciate the upper deck being available for stowing multiple watertoys and becoming an extra guest area when toys are in the water. This opens it up for yoga on deck or simply lounging. Fitness enthusiasts should note that a dedicated gym can go on the main deck, near the master suite.
Long-range cruising enthusiasts additionally should note that the shipyard anticipates a 6,000-nautical-mile range at 9 knots under MAN power.

Hull number one remains available for contract. Numarine doesn’t intend to start construction on spec.
