With a nearly 323-square-foot (30-square-meter) mezzanine deck, the new Extra Yachts flagship puts some unexpected uses of space at buyers’ disposal. The Extra X130 Triplex yacht is faithful to her lineage yet still provides some special touches her sisters don’t have.
Complementing a range that includes the X100 Triplex yacht series, the megayacht is just shy of 131 feet (40 meters) in length. However, as “Extra” implies, the LOA isn’t the most important factor. In fact, her profile conveys a beamy stance and healthy volume, which comes in at 397 gross tons. The sense of space heightens throughout the decks thanks to the design studio Laura Brocchini Design selecting Travertine marble. Its pale, champagne-like tone and mirrored surfaces catch light and create a sense of serenity.

Of course, buyers can tailor the interior to their liking, but the suggested layout holds strong appeal. For example, a big seating area and a bar occupy the upper-deck lounge. A typical saloon and dining area, followed by the master suite, make up the main deck. Notably, Extra Yachts does have a layout where the owners have a private aerie aft on the upper deck.
Since so much of the superyacht lifestyle centers on good times with family in seaside settings, the alfresco areas of the Extra 130 Triplex yacht stand out, too. Especially appealing, a mezzanine level perches nearly three feet (90 centimeters) above the main deck. It’s cozy at 323 square feet, as mentioned above, all the more so thanks to a fireplace that owners can light up at night. Nothing interferes with the views of the surrounding anchorage whether by day or night, either.
All 10 people who can stay aboard will undoubtedly enjoy the beach area. Fold-down sides and the choice of loose furniture mean 646 square feet (60 square meters) of usable space looks and feels welcoming. Conveniently for watersports fans, a full head is just inside, as is the tender garage.
Since enjoying the trip is as important as enjoying the destination, Extra Yachts anticipates the new model seeing a 14-knot cruising speed. Top end should be 16 knots.

Run by a crew of six and a captain, the first Extra X130 Triplex yacht can see delivery late next year.
