Her owners don’t train dragons, it just looks that way judging from the yacht’s insignia. It replicates the title character from the animated movie How to Train Your Dragon. Similar to the Night Fury dragon species, this superyacht moves with ease and is quite sociable.
This 141-footer (43-meter) belongs to the Columbus Atlantique 43 series. In fact, she’s the first delivery in the series, which Columbus Yachts revealed in 2022. Overall, the Atlantique range has multiple sizes, all showing off a combination of classic sailboat sophistication and Italian sportscar looks. The Hot Lab design studio makes these inspirations particularly prominent in the transom. It’s quite curvy, just as you would expect of a coveted Italian car. Simultaneously, if you compare the scoop-like shape to that of long-ago sailing yachts, you’ll also see similarities.
Since she’s for enjoying easy days and nights on the sea, the naval-architecture team engineered her for a 14½-knot maximum speed. Leisurely cruises along the most famous shores of the Mediterranean have been enjoyable so far. For the winter, meanwhile, even more leisurely travel amid popular Caribbean ports is happening.
Whether among the tropical islands or European destinations, the yacht Night Fury II has a few centers of family and friend time. For instance, the upper deck has an interior dining area that becomes an indoor-outdoor room thanks to sliding glass on three sides. The healthy-size foredeck pool, additionally featuring a bar, leaves no doubt as to how happy the happy hours can be. Yet another pool settles against a C-shaped settee facing the sea near the transom.
Throughout the interior of the yacht Night Fury II, dark tones of brown and grey set the backdrop. The slightest touches of yellows and oranges appear, too. It’s a clearly contemporary vibe, yet also sophisticated because of Travertine marble walls in some areas. Adding to the ambience, smoked glass with a metallic effect comprises the doors to the four guest staterooms below decks and the main-deck master suite.
Training dragons or not, the owners certainly know how to “train” guests to have a good time.
