While she has a family look and feel, the Pershing GTX90 yacht has a slightly different personality. It’s thanks to Pershing collaborating with a different design studio than the other models in its Sport Utility Yachts range so far.
The range—which includes the GTX70, GTX80, and the GTX116—stands out for a flying bridge, a sporty hardtop, and a combination of curves and nearly straight lines. In particular, the bow of the 92-foot (nearly 28-meter) Pershing GTX90 yacht matches the forward portion of her sisters. It’s only slightly raked aft. Similarly, the aft main deck has fold-down sides.

Modifications come from the Vallicelli design studio. For instance, Pershing says the flying bridge is 43 percent bigger than that of megayachts in this size range. It’s 355 square feet (33 square meters), plenty of space for all eight passengers to take in the passing scenery. Yet another change that the designers made: carrying the biggest part of the beam to where the folding aft sides are. When the platforms lower, the Pershing GTX90 yacht’s aft deck becomes 398 square feet (37 square meters).
The sunpad at its center stays put, of course, but it can become part of a massive indoor-outdoor space through a wide, opening glass door. Four of the door’s five panels slide to starboard, in fact, stacking with the fifth panel. (The fifth panel is behind the stairs to the flying bridge, so its fixed nature doesn’t interfere with guests’ or crew movement.) Since the Pershing GTX90 yacht is a widebody design, the result is leisure space inside and out that extends essentially the entire beam. (The only true side decks are from the helm, leading to the foredeck.)

Taking further advantage of this, not only is the interior entirely open plan, but the galley is a show kitchen to port at the aft-deck entrance. It also includes an elegantly styled, bar-height counter. This is a practical way to keep the chef’s secrets concealed from the dining area opposite it. These in turn shift the saloon seating area slightly forward, where traditionally superyacht builders and designers have put the dining area. Pershing offers the GTX90 yacht with a choice of an ample L-shaped settee or two facing couches.
As you would expect, the 92-footer has the accommodations for eight below decks, including in a full-beam master suite. A VIP is fully forward, and the remaining guest cabins are aft of the master, with a double and twin beds, respectively. Few passengers will spend time down here for anything other than sleeping, though, since a sporty yacht—the Pershing GTX90 should top out at 35 knots—beckons everyone outside. The flying bridge is the hang-out-all-day space. Sunpads dominate the aft portion, while the hardtop shades the dining area. Almost certainly, the captain will prefer being up here, too, due to a second helm station. The primary helm is on the main deck, with triple pedestal seats.

Capping it all off is the classic Pershing Anniversary Silver hull color, which you can see in person as early as the Cannes Yachting Festival this fall.
