When Silver Cloud saw delivery from by Abeking & Rasmussen in 2008, traditional yacht watchers scratched their heads. Her SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) configuration baffled them. Bafflement quickly changed to enlightenment, however, after learning what that design platform meant. Particularly, the 134-footer (41-meter) was far more stable. Equally important, if not more important to her owners, it kept seasickness at bay. In fact, this husband-and-wife duo had a less-than-happy experience with a traditional motoryacht in years prior because the wife suffered terrible motion sickness.
Silver Cloud clearly resolved that problem, since she embarked on a nearly two-year circumnavigation immediately upon delivery. Furthermore, since then, she has never once been out of the water.
Her owners enjoy diving as much as cruising. As a result, their global trips have taken them to some of the most spectacular sites around. Come along with Silver Cloud here as she explored the Tuamotus, characterized by coral rings and turquoise waters, under the guidance of Tahiti Private Expeditions.
