Attention all stews – and owners and captains who are proud of their stews. If you pride yourself on creative table displays, then you should enter the second-annual Perfect Setting Tabletop Challenge. Held during the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, this competition is the only one that recognizes the efforts that stews put into making dining a more fun and even elegant affair.
Last year’s Challenge saw some truly artistic settings, like the one shown above. It was created by stew Anick Cliche aboard Sea Fox and garnered first place in the formal table category. Like last year, this year’s competition will feature two categories, formal and casual. The formal theme is “Putting on the Ritz,” in which tables should feature lavish centerpieces, and the overall design should be heightened by appropriate music. For the casual category, the theme is “A Foreign Affair,” giving stews the chance to incorporate elements from their travels to transport owners and guests to these same seas and lands.
