You’re looking at the first photos of Mi Sueño on her sea trial from yesterday morning. Trinity Yachts will deliver the 190-footer (58-meter) megayacht next week from its Gulfport, Mississippi facility.
Similar to some other recent deliveries, Mi Sueño has a split-level master suite forward on the main deck. It’s a popular setup, since the bedroom area is elevated and therefore benefits from panoramic windows. But the owner (or eventual owner, as she’s for sale for $54.8 million) will have a lot inside the yacht to enjoy, too. Patrick Knowles used a combination of wenge, redwood burl, and mahogany woods. Perhaps the most eye-catching elements: naturally petrified tree trunks used as end tables, and full-height wine cellars flanking the aft main-deck entry.
The tones that Knowles and the owner chose create a serene setting for the superyacht: mostly greens and sand. Sage and ocean green are among the colors in the guest staterooms. A full-beam VIP stateroom plus another stateroom, each with king-size beds, are accompanied by a queen-bedded stateroom and a twin-bedded cabin. An elevator in the guest lobby is at their service to take them to the gym and skylounge on the upper deck. Should anyone be in a wheelchair, not only can the elevator accommodate them, but so can the queen stateroom.
With a draft of eight feet, Mi Sueño is well-suited to exploring a variety of cruising grounds. In fact, her cruising speed of 17 knots will be put to use in the western Med, where she’ll be available for charter starting in July. Through her central agent, International Yacht Collection, her rates will be €325,000 (about $401,378) per week in high season and €280,000 (about $345,802) per week in low season.
