The second 50-meter (164-foot) ISA is now in the water. Papi du Papi received the traditional bath of champagne across her bow in late July. The honors were given to the owner, who is stepping up from a same-named 30-meter (98-footer), and his wife.
With naval architecture by Andrea Vallicelli and ISA Yachts’ in-house team, Papi du Papi rises three decks. She bears some styling similarities to Liberty, which launched just a few months ago, as well as another 50-meter under construction. However, Papi du Papi bears the famed dual transom stairs that became synonymous with the ISA name when it built its first megayachts a few short years ago. The other 50-meters have their own twists on the superstructure and transom.
Inside, Papi du Papi features interior design by Francesco Paskowski, marking his first collaboration with ISA. The yard has not yet revealed photos of the decor, but you’ll get a chance to see the design when the megayacht makes her formal debut at the Monaco Yacht Show next month. Performance-wise, Papi du Papi is reportedly capable of a 16-knot top end thanks to twin Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines.
In other ISA news, the shipyard’s refit division has had a few yachts on site over the past several months. One such visitor: the 38-meter (125-foot) Sea D, a Proteksan Turquoise build from 2002, which required an engine rebuild.
