With styling and interior design by Giorgio Vafiadis, Okko is the newest megayacht by Mondo Marine. She not only marks the sixth megayacht in its 41m trideck series, but also the Italian shipyard’s 61st launch overall.
Okko may bear the same 133’9” (40.8-meter) LOA as the other 41m trideck series superyachts, but she has custom touches to her superstructure. The biggest change is the number of windows. Vafiadis worked with Mondo Marine’s in-house naval-architecture team to execute them. The choice of Vafiadis also differentiates her, as Cor D Rover collaborated with Mondo Marine’s staff on the prior launches.
Inside, Okko bears frakè wood, an African timber known for its yellowish brown to yellowish white tones, further characterized by dark veins. Judging by renderings the shipyard has, it creates a serene effect onboard, in combination with natural lighting and wall-mounted lamps. You’ll also find it in the main-deck master suite, the saloon and dining area, and the four guest cabins below decks. Two of those cabins are VIPs.
The ABS-classed Okko bears a 26’6” (8.1-meter) beam and should be delivered in July. Hopefully her owner will put her reported 16.5-knot top end and 14-knot cruise speed to good use before her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. Power comes courtesy of twin 1,500-hp MTUs, and range should be 3,000 miles at cruise speed.
