A few months from now, the newest Secret, for experienced megayacht owners, will be delivered by Abeking & Rasmussen.
The 270-foot (82.3-meter) megayacht has been under a confidentiality agreement for some time. The owner’s representatives at Burgess have finally divulged that Secret’s delivery date is this coming May. They’ve also revealed that styling is by Sam Sorgiovanni Designs (though one look at the signature swoop of the profile, and you’d probably have guessed it), while interior design is by Jim Harris of Arizona-based J.W. Harris, who has worked with the owners on a few different projects for more than three decades. These include homes, an airplane, and of course the owners’ previous Secret, a 200-foot (61.2-meter) Feadship delivered in 2008.
No details are available yet on the new Secret’s decor. If the previous Secret is any indication, expect mostly light-tone woods on the main deck and lower deck and darker joinery on the upper decks, with occasional bright pops of color coming from furnishings, accessories, and artwork. The overriding look was neutral, so as to not distract from the views outside. As Harris told Architectural Digest back when the first yacht was delivered, “You might be in the south of France, you might be in Italy or the Greek islands. That’s your real art, that’s your real decoration.”
