The super-secret megayacht Secret got her first taste of salt water this morning in Germany, outside of Abeking & Rasmussen’s shipyard.
Coming in at 270 feet (82.3 meters), Secret is much like many megayachts these days in terms of being covered by a confidentiality agreement. Her owners have permitted only minimal details, which include styling by Sam Sorgiovanni Designs and interior design by J.W. Harris. Secret marks their first collaboration with Sorgiovanni, and his influence is evident in the curves seen in both the image above and the close-up below. As for Harris, he has a long relationship with them. In fact, he has designed more than a dozen homes for them in addition to their previous megayacht, a 200-footer (61.2-meter) also known as Secret, built by Feadship five years ago.

It’s interesting to note that the Abeking-built Secret is just the owners’ second megayacht—and second yacht period. That’s not to say that they didn’t do their homework, however. For a few years, they enjoyed chartering.
The owners also really used their first Secret, often cruising with a good number of family and friends. The hope is the same for the new Abeking megayacht.
Secret should be delivered in May.
