Six months from now, the ex-Newvida, being christened My Seanna, will emerge from an extensive refit at Rybovich. The megayacht is growing by 25 feet and gaining an abundance of modern charter-friendly features.
First, a little history. Newvida was built by Delta Marine in 2001, as the 160-foot (48.8-meter) Gallant Lady. She bore exterior design by the Delta Design Group and an interior design by Glade Johnson. While Gallant Lady was strictly for private cruising and entertaining, as Newvida, the megayacht combined private cruising and chartering. She continued chartering while she was for sale, changing hands last year.
The owners who acquired her and are re-christening her My Seanna are the same owners who took delivery of a 213-foot (65-meter) Benetti named Seanna In 2011. Seanna was used for both private cruises and charters. Among the reasons why she stood out among charter megayachts: A cinema with a 100-inch screen replacing the customary saloon on the main deck. She also emphasized alfresco dining, since her owners rarely used the formal dining room aboard their previous yacht. Seanna further had a cozy library with a gas fireplace.
My Seanna has been at Rybovich for the past several months. She’s undergone, and continuing to undergo, quite an extensive work list. She’s been lengthened to 185 feet (56.39 meters), for starters. That allows accommodations for 12 guests, up from 10. They’ll be treated to quite a luxe decor being created amid the 29’6” (8.99-meter) beam. A VIP stateroom will benefit from terrific views on the bridge deck of My Seanna, for example. Four additional guest staterooms will be below decks, and the master will be forward on My Seanna’s main deck. Like Seanna, this megayacht will have a good deal of alfresco dining and relaxing space. That includes a newly constructed beach club. As you’d expect, the beach club will be the watertoy boarding and disembarking area. If Seanna was any indication, My Seanna will tote a mini flotilla of watertoys. Why? Her predecessor had PWCs, paddleboards, kayaks, towables, and more aboard.
Once the refit is complete, expected in June My Seanna will charter as part of the central fleet of Northrop & Johnson. To entice bookings, My Seanna’s owners are offering a weekly rate of $379,000 for charters reserved before December 31. Following that, the charter rate for Seanna will be $440,000.
