Oceanco is strengthening its focus on the ultra-large megayacht market. It’s expanding its facilities, for example, to build even bigger boats. Among the design proposals it may build in those facilities is DP017 – Dana. With styling unmistakably by Tim Heywood, the 344’5” (105-meter) DP017 – Dana has abundant deck space for an ultra-exclusive lifestyle.
DP017 – Dana is intended for 16 guests and 33 crewmembers. The interior design is open to the client’s choice. With a 53’8” (16.4-meter) beam, the megayacht has plenty of space to customize. To stimulate some ideas, Oceanco’s in-house team has general arrangements available. Among the suggestions: two owner’s suites, five queen staterooms, and two twin cabins. DP017 – Dana also easily can feature extensive spa facilities, including two massage rooms. A hair and beauty salon should appeal to those who plan extensive entertaining. Whether hosting huge parties or cruising only with the owner’s family, DP017 – Dana can further have what Oceanco calls a sea lounge. No mere beach club, it’s an extensive indoor-outdoor space formed when the transom opens. There’s also no mere pool aboard, either. An infinity pool extends out from the aft deck, with a glass bottom, too. An additional pool is situated high atop the fifth deck. It’s also forward, benefitting from fantastic views to three sides.
Keeping decks clean, the primary tender, complementing DP017 – Dana in styling, stows in a side compartment aft. No need to take the tender around to the swim platform for boarding, though. Oceanco has devised a deploying staircase from an upper deck.
To further entice a buyer, Oceanco has completed all pre-construction engineering for DP017 – Dana. Its in-house team collaborated with BMT Nigel Gee for naval architecture. Twin 4,290-hp MTUs (the 20V 4000 series) should permit an 18½-knot top end. More than 90,000 gallons (341,000 liters) of fuel will ensure the megayacht makes it to whatever port is desired.
DP017 – Dana will meet Lloyd’s classification and the new Passenger Yacht Code regulations. A delivery date will be determined once a client signs a contract with Oceanco.
