Benetti recently celebrated the launch of the first Benetti Tradition Supreme 108, with her owner, of course. My Paradis is the yacht’s name, and she’s the newest to join the builder’s Class Displacement series. Following the owner’s first season aboard, this Tradition Supreme 108 will debut at September’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
The trideck, all-fiberglass Tradition Supreme 108 features a first for semi-custom Benetti yachts: hybrid power. Twin MAN diesels and two 35-kW electric motors comprise the package. The latter are powered by gensets. On only electric power, the yacht should see about 6 knots. Under diesel power, the Tradition Supreme 108 should top out at 15 knots. They should also permit a 2,300-nautical-mile range at 10 knots.
Of course, the Benetti Tradition Supreme 108 allows owners to put their imprint on the layout and decor. The owner of My Paradis made a few special requests. The saloon, for example, occupies most of the main deck. It’s a casual gathering area with a bar and plentiful seating. No formal dining area is incorporated. Instead, dining aboard this Tradition Supreme 108 takes place on the sundeck. My Paradis also has the galley on the main deck. The standard layout situates it below decks. Down there, the owner wanted extra refrigerators.
Further customized is the 3D-oriented decor. My Paradis has both angled surfaces and sections of the walls that are layered, all with contrasting tones. Light oak and dark stains play off one another in some areas naturally, while LEDs do the trick as well. The lighting design does the same with other materials. Most buyers of the Tradition Supreme 108 will likely go with a more traditional decor. But, My Paradis does show how an owner can indeed have a distinctly different semi-custom project.
The 108’2” (32.98-meter) Tradition Supreme 108 has four guest staterooms below decks and a full-beam (24’3”, or 7.4-meter) main-deck master suite. The photo above shows just how bright and airy the room becomes thanks to the full-height windows to each side. That, too, should remain the case with most buyers’ boats. My Paradis does, however, extend the dramatic decor into the master bath. There are striking mosaic tiles in the shower.
More drama awaits on the upper deck, where guests get use of a Turkish bath with a skylight. Conversation areas are just aft in the skylounge and outside. Stairways both inside and outside lead up to the above-mentioned sundeck, too, for dining, soaking in the hot tub, and of course sun worshipping.
Curious guests can sit opposite the captain up here, who’ll probably drive most days from the starboard-side helm station. (There are accommodations for six crew aboard the Tradition Supreme 108.) Most popular cruising spots should pose no problem for My Paradis. Benetti builds all Tradition Supreme 108 yachts with a fixed 6’6” (2-meter) draft.
