Here’s a look at Benetti’s first Tradition Supreme 108, the successor to the Tradition 105, as the structure was moved into the builder’s outfitting bay. She’s a year away from delivery, but even without windows and her final paint, you get a sense of what she’ll look like at that point.
The Tradition Supreme 108, as her name suggests, measures just over 108 feet—108’3” to be exact, or 32.98 meters. Beam is 23’8” (7.25 meters), about what you’d expect for this LOA. The all-fiberglass Tradition Supreme 108 employs carbon fiber, too, in the hardtop and sundeck, the first Benetti Class megayacht to do so. (Benetti Class is comprised of a handful of semi-custom models, starting with the Delfino 93 and going up to the Vision 145). Another unusual but welcome aspect of her design: three decks. The upper deck and sundeck each further have two stairways for guests to use. The upper deck has two outside stairways leading down to the main deck, while it has one inside stairway and one outside stairway up to the sundeck. Crew will get a dedicated internal stairway as well, leading to and from the galley.
While they’re not in place yet, there will be balconies off the main deck. The two cutouts visible where the hull meets the superstructure seem to suggest one will be solely for the owners to use, off their stateroom forward on the main deck. The other, aft, will be for the owner’s party of 10 to enjoy, off the saloon.
Benetti’s in-house team is customizing the decor for spaces ranging from the four guest staterooms below decks to the skylounge. Six crew will also be housed aboard.
Benetti anticipates a half-load top speed of 13½ knots and a cruise speed one knot slower, under twin MAN power. Best cruise should be at 10 knots, permitting a reported 1,800-nautical-mile range. Even at full load (170 tons displacement), which translates to a 6’6” (2-meter) draft, the Tradition Supreme 108 should be able to pull into some skinny waters.
The Benetti Tradition Supreme 108 will comply with RINA classification.
