The Admiral – Italian Sea Group (formerly Admiral Tecnomar) marked its fourth megayacht launch of the year with Nono last week. The 121-footer is an Admiral Impero 37 model, with “37” signifying her LOA in meters.
The all-aluminum Admiral Impero 37 series features styling by Luca Dini Design. The model embraces contemporary looks, with a raised-pilothouse configuration. The metallic-bronze paint job emphasizes the modernity of Nono, as does an abundance of glass. The latter is particularly noteworthy fully aft on the main deck. The same is true at about amidships on the same deck, in the form of sliding doors.
The owner of Nono tapped The Italian Sea Group’s in-house design studio for the interior. As you’d expect of her LOA, Nono has a combination saloon and dining area on the main deck. Also as you’d expect, the master is fully forward. Guests get four staterooms below decks, two of which are large VIPs. Each staterooms has opening ports, too, a nice touch. While the galley aboard Nono is also below decks, directly accessible from the crew’s quarters, there is a main-deck pantry. It has side-deck access, helpful for provisioning.
Speaking of access, Nono’s beach club yields direct access to the tender garage. Toys are launched to the side. The beach club itself, formed by opening the transom, boasts a steam bath and a bar. For more alfresco enjoyment, Nono has a good-size sundeck. Dining and lounging take place forward, thanks to a table, sunpads, and a bar. The owners, who will enjoy strictly private cruising, and their guests can watch the captain at the second helm up here, too. A hot tub is situated aft. Nearby is extra space for extra toy stowage, should the owners of Nono so wish. For more privacy, there’s a seating area toward the bow. Since the master suite is full beam, side-deck stairs rise up and over it to yield access. The seating is accompanied by a hi-lo table, and a big sunpad just above and aft, atop the master.
Something the owners also wanted was good speed. The Italian Sea Group says Nono can top out at 20 knots. Propulsion is from twin MAN engines. While best-cruise range was not revealed, most megayachts of Nono’s size can easily travel good distances around the Med and Caribbean.
Nono will be available for public viewing at the Monaco Yacht Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this fall.
While Nono was the fourth yacht splashed so far in 2014 for the yard, as stated above, she’s technically the fifth launch overall. The Italian Sea Group also built a barge to transport yachts that measure up to 295 feet (90 meters).
