Princess Yachts’ M Class lineup, where “M” is for “megayacht” as much as it is for “meters.” She’s the 100-foot Princess 30M, already under construction.
The M Class currently includes the 32M, the 35M, and the 40M, so the Princess 30M will be the smallest offering. Don’t confuse that with small-mindedness, however. Princess Yachts has different interior configurations available. Six to eight guests can join you aboard, housed in three or four staterooms below decks. Crew cabins are accessed separately, like on the larger M Class models.
The Princess 30M can further have sliding side-deck doors (above) leading to a balcony off the saloon. Like the rest of the UK builder’s projects, the Princess 30M can be tailored to your tastes. The in-house Princess Design Studio has various woods, stones, and other materials from which to choose, some exclusive to the megayacht models.
Like the other M Class models, the Princess 30M has a main-deck master suite. She also has a flying bridge with a sunroof-fitted hardtop. Like the interior decks, the flying bridge is open to your input. It’s hard to imagine Princess 30M owners eschewing a wetbar forward and hot tub aft, as illustrated below, however. Add a few loose lounge chairs, even a settee, and the deck becomes the all-day destination.
Note, too, that the Princess 30M includes a helm station on the flying bridge. Princess Yachts says top speeds should be close to 30 knots. Typically, the builder offers a few engine packages from MTU and Caterpillar. Specific packages for the Princess 30M haven’t been published yet. However, the same engine brands are no doubt available.
Further available is a tender garage for watertoys up to about 15 feet (4.5 meters) LOA. The swim platform is hydraulic, easing tender launch and swimmers’ task of climbing into and out of the water.
Since Princess Yachts incorporates different equipment for U.S.-bound yachts, Princess Yachts’ stateside office, Princess Yachts America, can address specifications questions.
