Hull number one of the new Princess 30M megayacht is set to make a big splash next month. Actually, two big splashes. First, she’ll launch from her UK build shed. Then, she’ll make her way to Boot Düsseldorf, the annual boat show in Germany.
The smallest of the M Class megayacht offerings, the Princess 30M boasts some big-boat amenities. These include a fold-down balcony off the saloon. The Princess 30M also has a main-deck master stateroom, with skylights (below) and a breakfast nook. Given the 99’9” (30.45-meter) LOA, the location is particularly notable. Also of note, the stateroom has what Princess Yachts calls a reverse-cabin layout. The bed is situated against the forward-most bulkhead and faces aft. None of the other M Class projects have this.
Princess Yachts has not revealed all of the decor materials used for this first Princess 30M. For now, it says its in-house design department wrapped some panels with leather. In general, clients work with that department to execute the look they want. The design department works on all sizes of Princess builds, in fact. But, there are stones, woods, and more exclusive to the M Class projects.
With an optional hot tub on the flying bridge and an expected mid-20-knot top speed, the Princess 30M should attract boat-show attendees focused on warm thoughts and warm-weather cruising.
As for a U.S. version of the Princess 30M, no debut date has been announced. Typically, though, Princess arranges it within about a year of the European model’s premiere.
