Measuring 197 feet (60 meters), the M60 SeaFalcon isn’t just a sport yacht. To Mondomarine, she’s reflective of 100 years of experience in the marine sector. (It opened its doors under the name Cantieri Navali Campanella in 1915.) And she’s reflective of its recent success in working with designers with distinctive style, this time Luiz de Basto Designs.
Like the bird that is her namesake, the M60 SeaFalcon bears a large, strong presence. Highlighting her all-aluminum structure are arch-like sections aft. They’re painted in Tuscan red to further command attention. The way Luiz de Basto Designs penned her, the M60 SeaFalcon appears to have the areas beneath these arches carved out and then sculpted, for added dramatic effect.
Also like the bird, the M60 SeaFalcon is meant to move swiftly and gracefully. Mondomarine’s in-house engineering department created the hull design. The yard says that depending on engine package, the megayacht should top out between 20 and 27 knots. With twin MTU 16V 4000 M73Ls, for example, the yacht should see the first figure. She should additionally cruise at 18 knots and see a 4,100-nautical-mile range at 12 knots.
With a generous gross tonnage of nearly 900, the M60 SeaFalcon provides abundant areas inside to enjoy. Consider, too, that the beam is 33 feet (10.1 meters). You can tap the interior designer of your choice to personalize spaces from the beach club to the sundeck’s bar and dining area. One area you’re sure to enjoy: the saloon. Luiz de Basto Designs created it with floor-to-ceiling glass panels to each side that slide open, tucking away like pocket doors. The bulwarks here also fold down to create balconies.
