Known for sporty yachts, Numarine is taking its first steps into explorer-yacht territory. Its initial model, the 32XP, has begun construction.
The “XP” in “Numarine 32 XP” hints at the explorer focus. The Turkish builder expects the 106’6” (32.5-meter) motoryacht to see a 3,000-nautical-mile range at 12 knots. The twin 715-hp Caterpillars should also permit a maximum 14-knot speed (with half fuel and one-quarter water aboard). The steel hull might lead you to believe that draft will be too deep for shallow areas. However, the Numarine 32XP will draw 6’9” (2.1 meters) under full load, so plenty of regions will be within reach.
Twelve people total will be able to enjoy those journeys, taken care of by a crew of five. Expect to find a full-beam master stateroom on the main deck. That’s even with the inclusion of a good-size galley and a traditional combined saloon and dining area on this deck, too. Alternately, you can let Very Important People take that stateroom. Another full-beam affair is aft on the upper deck aboard the Numarine 32XP.
While that configuration is unusual, the 26-foot (8-meter) beam puts the megayacht in line with what similar-size motoryachts offer. She’s also in line with what many builders are doing today, featuring an intimate beach club. Since tenders and toys get stowed on the sundeck, the transom gets freed up for relaxation space.
Though a launch date hasn’t been announced, we’d expect the Numarine 32XP to splash midway through next year.
