Baltic Yachts, the Finnish builder known for sailing superyachts such as Pink Gin, WinWin, and Hetairos, has a custom motoryacht in the works. For now, she is only being referred to as the Baltic M/Y 78.
Like the above-mentioned sailing sisters, the Baltic M/Y 78 is being built of carbon fiber. She will therefore be lightweight come delivery next summer. A good speed will also be a factor: a top end of 25 knots. Unfortunately, Baltic Yachts has not revealed what the engine package or best range will be. Regardless, a “go anywhere” principle is a driving force behind the design. Frers Naval Architecture is responsible for engineering the semi-displacement hull and overall structure.
Few other details are known, either. Baltic Yachts does say that the Baltic M/Y 78 will accommodate at least six in the owners’ party. Two crew cabins are dedicated aft of the engine room. Even with the sub-100-foot LOA, the motoryacht will have the saloon and dining area in separate rooms. This is more common of much bigger boats. The owners are working with Design Unlimited to fashion the interior.
