The first of a new motoryacht series has made the journey from Perini Navi’s Turkish shipyard to its primary shipyard in Italy. Meet the 56-meter Voyager, a 184-footer, bearing design by a longtime shipyard partner. What’s more, the Perini Navi Voyager series keeps an emphasis on large-size, large-volume motoryachts.
Even with her LOA and volume of 824 gross tons, this megayacht features a sleek appearance. Her lines are by Philippe Briand, who’s additionally responsible for Perini Navi’s Vitruvius motoryacht range. That range, you might remember, so far has produced the likes of Exuma, Galileo G, and Grace E (now Nautilus).
The builder has expanded its power megayacht offerings over the past year, introducing the Voyager line, among others. Equally notable, Voyager is the first Perini Navi-branded motoryacht. For several years, the company used the Picchiotti brand for its power craft and reserved the Perini Navi brand for sailing yachts. In 2017, the management team decided one name should represent all new builds. In fact, the Perini Navi Voyager was its first announcement (although it did not use the Voyager name at the press conference reveal).
Unfortunately, few facts are available so far about this new motoryacht. What we can tell you, though, is that she features five guest staterooms. Interestingly, they spread across both the lower deck and the main deck. The master suite, meanwhile, sits on the upper deck—forward, naturally, to take advantage of the views. Nine crewmembers will take care of the steel-hulled yacht’s operations.
Plenty of work awaits completion over the next several months. The first Perini Navi Voyager project should launch toward the end of 2020.
