January 30 saw a secretive Feadship build start making her way to the Royal de Vries yard in Aalsmeer, The Netherlands. She’s Feadship project 705, a reference to the hull number.
Since the builder hasn’t disclosed information about the yacht just yet, scant details are available. LOA should be 236 feet (72 meters), for instance, with an ample beam of 41 feet (12.6 meters). Construction took place at Scheepswerf Slob, the facility where Feadship’s steel hulls as well as some aluminum superstructures take shape. Yacht spotters captured the recently joined hull and superstructure of Feadship project 705 under tow this week, passing through Rotterdam on the way to Gouda. They anticipated she’d arrive at Royal de Vries today, for outfitting and completion.
Given her state of progression, Feadship project 705 should see delivery before the end of the year. But, the owners’ choice of designers, whether stylists or interior designers, remains unknown. So, too, does the megayacht’s name, as well as special features that will make the owners’ and guests’ time onboard more enjoyable.
As information becomes available, we will update this story, and/or post additional articles accordingly.
