The Amasea 84, announced a few months ago, is on pace to start construction later this year. We’re now getting our first looks at what customers can do inside, thanks to suggested arrangements from Amasea Yachts. In brief, the shipyard is suggesting some bold choices when it comes to accommodations.
Amasea focuses on all-aluminum catamarans for global cruising. Company founder Jack Wijnants established the shipyard in Turkey last year after failing to find a production catamaran to meet his needs. He’s starting the Amasea 84 on spec, feeling confident she will attract interest due to brokers’ feedback. With styling and naval architecture by Albert Nazarov, a high-speed catamaran specialist, the yacht emphasizes long voyages. In fact, Wijnants and Nazarov expect her to remain self-sufficient for up to six weeks.
While an aluminum catamaran in this size range is unusual, so, too, is her height. She’s a trideck, to provide more flexibility in interior configuration. “The master suite, for example, can be on the main or upper deck,” Nazarov says. “And, the yacht is designed with two galleys: one for guest use and a smaller one for the crew.” This, plus a 36-foot (11-meter) beam, means the megayacht suits families and entertaining friends.
In fact, if you opt for a traditional saloon and dining room combination on the main deck, the Amasea 84 provides 678 square feet (63 square meters) of space for them. Then, decide where you want all the staterooms—and we do mean all. It’s interesting to note that the Amasea Yachts team has a suggested arrangement with two equal-size guest staterooms forward on the main deck, too. Similarly, two VIPs can go on the bridge deck.
Even more possibilities exist, including changing the size of the ports. The engineering platform, with twin 1,920-hp MTUs, and styling are the only set aspects. Base price: €6.5 million. Delivery can take place in 2021.
