She still has a ways to go before cruising the oceans. Regardless, Feadship 1009 departed the subcontractor facility where she has been taking shape in her early stages of construction. She is now nestled into her new home for the next year or so, the Feadship Makkum shipyard.
Feadship 1009 is a nearly 312-footer (95-meter), anticipated for delivery in 2021. The Dutch megayacht builder shared the images here on its Facebook page. The yacht departed the subcontractor yard, in Papendrecht in The Netherlands, yesterday morning.
Judging from the photos, the megayacht appears to have a nice-size swimming pool on her aft deck. In addition, Feadship 1009 has significant-size hatches aft along her hull. One could very likely designate a tender garage. The other, meanwhile, could indicate a beach club, since it also contains three round ports.
Since Feadship has not disclosed any details about the project’s creature comforts, we do not have verification of other features. This even extends to the naval-architecture and interior-design studios involved.
However, since she is referred to as Feadship 1009, this means she is a Royal De Vries project. The Makkum finishing shed is further confirmation of Royal De Vries’ role. On a related note, this is the same facility where Anna, a.k.a. Project 1007, finished up last year.
