Over the weekend, Codecasa Hull C123 made her grand entry into the water for the very first time. A private ceremony celebrated the milestone at the shipyard’s facilities in the famed city of Viareggio, Italy.
The new yacht, with a 720-ton displacement, is part of the Codecasa 55 series, therefore measuring 55 meters (180 feet). Like most projects from the builder, the styling and naval architecture are from the in-house departments. Codecasa additionally has its own interior-design division, which joined forces with the owners’ interior designer. The identity of that designer is remaining confidential, at least for the time being.
A number of details about Codecasa Hull C123 remain confidential, too. These include the specific woods, marbles, other stones, and general decor materials. They also include her name. However, yacht watchers believe she is the newest Framura, for a repeat customer. Regardless, the shipyard does disclose that that the look the owners wanted is unassuming, while of course remaining elegant and having some details to strike your eye.
Furthermore, the newly launched megayacht seems to have a traditional arrangement. For instance, she has four guest staterooms, one VIP, and a master suite. Relaxation and crew work areas (12 crewmembers and the captain will take charge) span four decks. An internal elevator lets the guests go from their staterooms to upper-deck interior and alfresco lounging spaces.
The anticipated performance is pretty traditional as well. Codecasa expects a top speed of 17 knots and cruise at 12 knots, under Caterpillar power. Best range at that cruising speed is 5,000 nautical miles.
While Codecasa Hull C123 progresses toward delivery this summer season, the shipyard has other yachts to continue working on, too. One is the unusual, jumbo-jet-inspired Codecasa Jet 2020. She incorporates styling cues commonly found on aircraft.
