Late June saw the launch of Framura 3 at Codecasa, marking two important milestones. First, the project became the latest megayacht for a repeat customer of the Italian shipyard. Second, and perhaps more important, Framura 3 became the first megayacht in Codecasa’s new Codecasa 50s series, a.k.a. the Codecasa Sport range.
The Codecasa 50s gets her name from her LOA, which is 50 meters, or 164 feet. The Codecasa Sport range also includes three smaller megayacht models, the Codecasa 35s, the Codecasa 41s, and the Codecasa 45s, which measure 115, 135, and 148 feet, respectively. In fact, Framura 3’s owner previously owned a Codecasa 45s, christened Framura 2. She was delivered in 2010 and sold a few years later.
As for Framura 3, she reflects the same sporty styling as her smaller sister and the same emphasis on speed. The all-aluminum megayacht features triple 2,600-hp MTUs coupled to KaMeWa waterjets and a KaMeWa booster. Codecasa anticipates a light-displacement top speed of 28 knots and best cruise of 18 knots. (Light displacement will be 250 tons, while full displacement will be 270 tons.)
Outdoor living is sure to be enjoyed aboard Framura 3, with abundant sunbeds and settees and a fold-down balcony off the main-deck master suite. Interior spaces do not suffer as a result, of course. In fact, the saloon is oversize for a 164-footer, thanks to the placement of the formal dining area one deck above.
Framura 3 is expected to be delivered by the end of this month.
