UPDATE, JULY 9, 2021: Codecasa has released interior renderings for the C127 spec project, two of which are below. M2 Atelier and the shipyard propose neutral tones and a good deal of natural materials, including wood on walls.

In the summer of 2023, a family can start cruising aboard an unusually swift superyacht for her size. Codecasa C127, a 190-footer (57.8-meter), should reach and even exceed 20 knots at her max end. In fact, the steel-hulled megayacht should hit one knot more of speed under light-displacement conditions.
Codecasa is aiming for these atypical accomplishments with the input of Pierluigi Ausonio, the naval architect and engineer who consults with a number of global shipyards. He and Codecasa’s technical team assert that she’ll be among the fastest yachts of her type when delivered. But, that doesn’t mean she will purely be fast. Codecasa C127, with a pair of 3,386-hp Caterpillar engines, should see a 6,000-nautical-mile range at 12 knots, too.
Regarding the overall performance, Gianluca Imeri, the head of Codecasa’s technical team, says that the yacht will employ a stern support called a transom wedge. Transom wedges adjust trim as needed when underway. Additionally, Imeri says, “we opted for a vertical bow, lengthening the waterlines of the hull.” In analyzing computer modeling tests and scale-model tank tests, he continues, the team even tried different types of bulbous bows. Ultimately, Codecasa C127 has a fast-displacement hull form to ensure good efficiency throughout the full speed range.
Since the megayacht is a spec project, the shipyard already has created an interior configuration, with M2 Atelier, to pique interest. Despite the uncharacteristic performance, the layout is quite traditional. So, for instance, the yacht has a master suite and five guest staterooms, along with an elevator connecting all the decks. She has a beach club, too, accessible via a fold-down hatch that becomes the swim platform. Finally, Codecasa C127 has a pool on her sundeck, measuring a little over 11 feet (3.5 meters) long.
Codecasa continues construction on a few other yachts, including the jumbo-jet-inspired Jet 2020.
