Fans of fast yachts sometimes want delivery to happen fast, too. Apparently that’s what Otam is encountering, since it’s begun an 80 HT Millennium on spec.
Measuring 83’7” (25.5 meters), this 80 HT Millennium is hull number four in the series. Otam says that there have been a “high number of requests and concrete ongoing negotiations.” To make things even more attractive, Otam wants to shorten delivery time.
The yard does not plan to outfit the interior of the yacht without an owner, however. With a 19’9” (6.05 meters) beam, the 80 HT Millennium has three staterooms for you and your guests. Woods, leathers, and more textiles can flow through the saloon and relaxation spaces. Your chef may appreciate a stainless steel galley. (Your chef, two other crew, and a captain are accommodated in two bunk cabins that share a head.)
Since sun time is fun time aboard yachts, the 80 HT Millennium features a giant sunpad aft. A partially shaded seating/dining area complements it.
The Otam 80 HT Millennium will still boast the speeds that characterize the brand. In fact, the yacht is among the fastest in her size range. She should see cruise speeds of about 40 knots—even, Otam says, in rough seas. That brisk pace comes from twin MTU M94s paired with Arneson surface drives. Otam also says that top speed should be 48 knots.
