Now on her maiden voyage, Solemates is also taking her first charters while she enjoys the warm weather in the Eastern Med. She is the latest Heesen 55M Steel delivery, additionally treating Very Important People to unexpected accommodations.
With an internal volume of about 760 gross tons, the yacht, a.k.a. Project Castor while in build on spec, puts the VIP suite on the bridge deck. That makes taking meals with the rest of the group onboard more convenient, since the primary alfresco dining area is fully aft. Solemates accommodates eight more people below decks, with two of the cabins converting from doubles to twins due to the beds sliding apart or together on rails. And, of course, the owner gets a main-deck suite. It encompasses nearly 883 square feet (82 square meters) and should look and feel light and bright due to the full-height ports to each side.
While Heesen brought Bannenberg & Rowell onboard to start the general arrangement and interior design on spec, the owner brought in his own designer, too. No photos, however, are available at this time. Neither are many details, other than some veneers and fabrics changing.
The 180-foot (55-meter) megayacht opens up a variety of outdoor areas for the owner’s and guests’ usage. Naturally, she has a beach club, but also a wellness/spa area just off of it. To take in the views while cruising or at anchor, Solemates situates aft-facing, loose lounge chairs on the sundeck. A sunpad, hot tub, bar, and extra seating area sit up here, too. Besides the above-mentioned alfresco dining area, the bridge deck has a terrific observation area fully forward. More daytime or nighttime lounging and conversations take place on Solemates’ main aft deck, featuring armchairs and built-in furnishings.
Heesen says the yacht can achieve a 4,500-nautical-mile range when cruising at 13 knots under MTU power. That is certainly enough for family or charter guests to explore the entire Eastern Med before autumn’s cooler temperatures arrive.
To charter Solemates, contact her central agent, Luxury Yacht Group. The company further introduced the owner to Heesen and served as the project manager during her build.
