Since revealing it had a 171-footer (52-meter) under contract in 2020, CRN has shared only brief details about the yacht. For the first time, we can take you inside CRN hull 142, revealing what guests will enjoy upon delivery later this year.
We last got a brief glimpse of the project early in 2021, when hull and superstructure construction was underway. The all-aluminum yacht features styling by Omega Architects, with noticeably large, open sections flanking her aft areas. The sleek and sporty yacht further features interiors and on-deck areas by Massari Design. Other than the owner wanting strong continuity between indoor and alfresco spaces for a total of 10 people, little else came out.
However, inside CRN hull 142, we now know that clean lines and contemporary design characterize leisure areas. Warm, natural tones prevail, primarily through woods, marbles, and leathers. The 29’5” (9-meter) beam ensures an ample feel throughout. But, the full-height glass and reflective surfaces, as seen in the master (above, and top) and dining area (below), magnify the sensations of space and light.
Typically, and understandably, megayacht owners and guests rarely use interior dining areas. Interestingly, the owner and guests do plan to dine inside CRN hull 142, using the open-plan dining area and saloon at lunchtime. The space still feels plenty open, due to the combination once again of large glass panes and adjoining mirrored surfaces.
The 499-gross-ton yacht, with four decks, additionally has an upper-deck lounge (above) that easily serves as a cinema thanks to a large-screen TV. Yet, it may see more use as an extension of the alfresco dining area just aft. The sliding-glass doors connecting the two can stay open. Furthermore, glass panels integrated into the superstructure protect the entire zone from stiff breezes.
As much enjoyment as guests will get inside CRN hull 142, though, the owner is paying particular attention to alfresco relaxation. In fact, CRN says he specified comfortable open-air spaces as part of his overall love of the sea. This explains why, for instance, the aft-deck lounge on the main deck overlooks the transom pool. It also explains why a similarly sizable lounge forward on the sundeck rims a large hot tub. And finally, it lends logic to how the beach club (above) serves multiple purposes. It’s a waterside lounge, with bar, day or night, for example, with a TV. It’s also intended for regular watersports use, thanks to the fold-down transom joining a fixed, wide swim platform. Alternately, it’s the chill-out area after using the adjacent hammam and spa-like shower.
CRN hull 142, also featuring a striking horseshoe-shaped bar on her sundeck, will launch in the spring.
