A gentleman who has cruised aboard numerous yachts over the past 10 years is looking forward to new adventures. He’s behind a 197-footer (60-meter) with extraordinary volume whose keel laying occurred at Alia Yachts in March.
The project brings together the same team behind Al Waab, a delivery from last year. Therefore styling, naval architecture, and interior design are all by Vripack. Remarkably, this new yacht’s gross tonnage is more than 1,000, which should make her spaces look and feel incredibly ample.
Comfort is always key, of course, but it’s especially important in this case. That’s because the owner wants to travel the world with his family. To make getting around the various decks easier, Alia Yachts is installing an elevator. When guests are out on deck in breezy conditions, meanwhile, semi-clear wind-blocking panels will come in handy. (Notably, Al Waab has this same feature.) Sore muscles from playing all day on the watertoys can seek restoration in a dedicated massage room in the beach club. The beach club additionally includes a steam shower, a gym, a chill-out area, and a dive store. In fact, Alia Yachts says the beach club is “sprawling.”
In terms of staterooms, the new 60-meter treats guests to four VIPs and two twins. The owner has an upper-deck suite, forward, for taking advantage of the views. Coffee or simply quiet time can come via a private alfresco area farther forward, too, just off a private lounge.
Outdoor areas should be generous, all the better to take in the views when arriving in port and enjoying a quiet anchorage. Although Alia Yachts has not disclosed anticipated performance data, naturally the megayacht will have transoceanic range.
Gökhan Çelik, president of Alia Yachts, reflected on the project during the keel-laying ceremony. “The owner and his family have some incredible travel plans on the horizon, and we feel honored to be trusted to make this into a reality for him,” he said.
