The newest Nobiskrug most recently known as Project Miza underwent more sea trials this month, with a visible name, too. She’s the yacht Amoa, and is nearing delivery.
With angular, geometric styling by Winch Design, the 230-footer (70-meter) stands five decks tall. Three square windows especially stand out on her main deck amid other shapes of glass along her main and lower decks. Celebrating her keel laying in 2019, the yacht Amoa has primarily enclosed areas, though some alfresco spaces are noteworthy. A healthy-size seating area occupies her foredeck, for example, while a pool perches fully forward on her sundeck. That pool further has contra-flow jets, to give swimmers a little extra exercise. Elsewhere on the sundeck, a bar will keep the owners and guests refreshed. They have outdoor dining areas to enjoy, too.
Although neither Nobiskrug nor the other parties involved have revealed much, we do know that the megayacht has a sizable main saloon. Additionally, her sky lounge extends the full beam (41 feet/12.4 meters). Something else the owners wanted onboard: a spa. Finally, and as you might expect, Amoa has a beach club right at the waterline.
Her propulsion package is particularly notable. Amoa has a pair of azimuthing thrusters working in conjunction with her diesel engines. The thrusters can drop down and offer station-keeping capabilities, much like dynamic positioning. Therefore, the yacht can “anchor” in protected or sensitive waters, where real anchors could do damage.
